Within these and other relevant and established limits and controls, which will not be exceeded without further approval, the proposed amendments provide the operational flexibility necessary to support the production of polyhalite at levels exceeding 13 million tonnes per annum, without requiring additional built development and without giving rise to additional or materially different environmental effects beyond those already assessed. In addition to the above, to avoid potential conflict with statutory production reporting obligations to the stock market, the proposed wording of the requirement to report quantities of polyhalite produced to the MPA has been amended. The proposed wording aligns with market requirements and commits the mine Operator to providing annual production reports to the MPA. In the context of the above, and reflecting the principles of Policy MM2, the following alternative wording is presented in respect of Condition 7: No polyhalite shall be transported by road from the Doves Nest Farm site other than during a period of eight months during the sinking of the Doves Nest Farm shaft and prior to the commissioning of the MTS.
