The Woodsmith Project - S73 Project Amendments : Planning Statement
greater than those previously assessed for the Approved Development and would not be significant. Construction road traffic exhaust emissions and emissions from the LNG-fired engine facility have been modelled and assessed in relation to existing human receptors. The predicted impacts are negligible and not significant. Potential effects on designated ecological sites arising from construction traffic and LNG facility emissions have been assessed against relevant Critical Levels and Critical Loads. Whilst the majority of pollutant concentrations are predicted to fall below established thresholds of insignificance, certain pollutants require further ecological consideration to determine the significance of effect. These matters are addressed in detail within Chapter 13 of the SES as part of the appended Shadow Habitats Regulations Assessment. During the operational phase, road vehicle exhaust emissions generated by Woodsmith Mine have been assessed and are predicted to give rise to effects on human receptors that are not significant. Mine ventilation emissions during operation are expected to comprise water vapour only, with no material pollutant content. Accordingly, no significant effects on human or ecological receptors are anticipated. The impacts of the proposed amended development at Woodsmith are summarised in the following table, alongside a comparison with the 2014 impacts:

In light of the above, the proposals accord with Chapter 15 of the NPPF; Policy ENV7 of the NYM Local Plan and; Policies D02 and D14 of the North Yorkshire Minerals and Waste Joint Plan in respect of air quality. The assessment demonstrates that the scheme would
